I’ve been fascinated with monograms ever since I discovered New England, Sarah Vickers, argyle knits and the polo. In the last couple of years the fashion pack has finally caught up with this trend and my preppy roots have been in constant battle with this trendy, sleek, new monogramming 2.0. Should I put my family name initial in the middle? Or have it at the end? Is it even monogramming, if its not cursive? There’s something very luxurious about having the privilege of putting your name to something and later, donating it to a charity for people with the same initials as me*
I wanted to whip up a quick editorial featuring these monogrammed leather goods from KAFFEIN before they get wrecked from a night out because that’s exactly what I’m using my clutch for. There’s plenty of room inside for the essentials and a great built in card holder and zip pocket too. If you’re headed to a networking event, you can stock up on one of the card/cash holders that have a ton of slots for business cards and cash.
When I first featured these over the knee boots in this blog post, it wasn’t cold enough to break them out yet for the everyday. Then, I started wearing UGGs around the house last week which meant I could finally get away with the extra leg layer and they are more essential for me this winter than black tights. Seriously! They look amazingly flattering with everything: black jeans if you want to be subtle and a mini skirt if you want to make a statement. If you don’t think you have amazing pins (I definitely don’t), try a pair and bah-bam, supergirl status. Proof? See all the flying around I’m doing hehe
* How great was that Jacqueline-ism from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt? Season 2 was just not up to scratch!

Aaaahhh Karen, you’re so adorable! It’s my dream to have something monogrammed, but it’s hard to find something classy to put your monogram on that everyone doesn’t have! This clutch is definitely more unique and I love the card holder as well!
